On the hottest day of the summer of '98, around 30,000 of us crowded into Victoria Park, Hackney, East London. Just as the sun was setting, Paul Weller took onto the stage, along with his band. Much of his performance that night was recorded and released as the "Live Classics" disc that came with limited editions of the "Modern Classics" collection.

The programme was essentially five pieces of plastic - printed on both sides - strung together on a rope and worn around the neck. Apparently, in the event of rain, these don't disintegrate in the same way as the usual paper programmes do. Whether it was worth £5, I will leave you to decide.
